In Essaouira, the overpopulation of stray cats leads to countless kittens abandoned and vulnerable. Coryza & Colizi viruses, motor bikes, cars and targeted violence are a constant threat.

Sterilization prevents unwanted kittens, street-fighting, spraying, disease and reduces the likelihood of fatal accidents. Reducing the overall number of stray cats will alleviate so much suffering.

WE ARE a network of animal lovers from all over Essaouira who see sterilization as the only humane way to reduce the stray cat population. We coordinate with neighborhood volunteers to prioritize the sterilization of fertile females, troublesome toms and cat colonies.
